time is 8:29 i'm mike mibach. >> and i'm claudine wong.o. >> allie rasmus joining us live with more on the complex operation now under way. >> reporter: there are two planes that will be used in this rescue mission. one departed add 6:00. this is the second one. it's on the tarmac. the engines are going. it's about to take off. now they are going to rescue two sailors who were severely burned in a diesel fire on their fishing boat. the problem is the coast guard and the rescue groups can't get to that fishing boat because their boat is 700 miles off the coast of mexico. that is why the 129th rescue wing was called in to help. they are one of three air guard units in the country that can do the rescues out in the middle of the ocean. the other two are in alaska and new york. obviously california is the closest to that fishing boat. what they are going to do they will be using a helicopter like one of the ones they have out here on the tarmac to go over into the middle of the pacific ocean. that helicopter will be used to lower some of the p

i'm claudine wong. >> good morning. i'm dave clark. it's wednesday, it's march 28th.0 hour with developing news coming in from oakland. just an hour ago, tragic news came in from the scene of an early-morning house fire. ktvu's tara moriarty is in oakland now to tell us what happened. >> reporter: well, we just spoke to the woman's care giver who knew the victim for 50 years. she says that she dried to -- tried to save the woman but it was simply too late. around 5:30 this morning, firefighters located the elderly woman inside of her burning house on chestnut street and performed c pm r. she pater -- later died at the hospital. one of her tear givers ran into the home when she discovered that the house was on fire. but the smoke was overwhelming. >> she was 92 years old. everybody on the block knew her. very nice lady. i saw her and she said she went to church. very sweet lady. she didn't have any can children so she was very nurturing. >> reporter: now, the ba tal yum chief tells -- battalion chief says the fire broke out where there was a floor heater. later, the in

i'm claudine wong in for tori campbell. >> i'm dave clark. >>> a homicide investigate is underway rightath the bay bridge overnight. alex has been on this story since 4:30. he's back to tell us what we know. alex? >> reporter: this scene has since been cleared where a man was found. they do have security cameras here, although it's unclear how much the cameras will help investigators. the man's body found before 3:00 this morning. this is on main street between bryant and harrison. early their morning, police sources tell us, the victim in this case was potentially a utility worker and we did see a pg&e truck parked near. according to the pg&e spokesman, he says the man found dead was not one of their employees. homicide investigators spent the morning out here searching this neighborhood trying to search with neighborhoods. they did speak with several homeless people camped out on main street. i talked with others from the condo complex as well. so far police have not given us many details on this investigation. we're continuing to work to get some sort of an update from the san franci

. >> i'm claudine wong.mus is live in san francisco with what we've learned about the victims. >> reporter: according to property records, the home where the i've people were killed is owned by a man named hal le, 65 years old. the house is on ocean avenue and house street in san francisco. it is still an active crime scene. there's tape not just in front of the house, but the two houses on either side of it. off to the left you can see it an officer guarding the front of the house. there have been officers here overnight and crime scene investigators have expected to return to the home later this morning to continue gatheringered. the five victims are all from the same family, a couple in their 60s and two adult children, a 32-year-old son and 37-year-old daughter lived here together. the fifth victim was the girlfriend or the wife of the son. it was another daughter who doesn't liver here who discovered their bodies just before 8 a.m. yesterday. initial reports were that this may have been a murder/suicide
