as we hear from clayton sandell, it may be awhile before we know if they're from the missing plane. >> reporter: this morning, ten search planes have taken off from here in perth, scouring a vast section of ocean looking for any sign of flight 370. flight cruise on australian, chinese, japanese, and american search planes are crisscrossing search areas of 26,000 square miles. the goal is to get human eyes on the elusive pieces of debris being seen from outer space by satellites. it's a gorgeous sunny day here in perth. in the search area 1500 miles southwest of here, the forecast calls for rain. that, of course, cuts down on visibility. making the tough job of spotting objects in the water even tougher. today, two giant transport planes from china are flying the search area for the first time. and today, chinese state media reported that t air crews on a chinese plane may have spotted suspicious objects in the indian ocean. no confirmation to what they've found, in anything. and in the water, an australian navy ship is on the scene. several more from china are on the way. the u.s. nav
