>>so that is my update on the cleanpowersf operating activities. in terms of legislating activities item b, on this item we are continuing to work with the public utilities commission there are number of economics that affect this program as you know what that pca is among them and we also recently saul, i'm sure as did you that pg & e has announced they will be closing them miablo canyon and there is other interest in the california power market of how pg&e is can replace that part of the power that they need. part of the reason that pg&e is said they are going to close diablo canyon is because there use is lower than they had expected and primarily because there will be more programs implemented in their service territory which will reduce their generation needs. so, they are knowledge and that they will have to replace all 200 mw and the talking about having the community choice aggregation customers help pay for some of that power so we deftly have a strong interest in that and we deftly have a strong part in that and the whole part of cleanpow

status update on the cleanpowersf program and timeline for program launch. and b status update on proceedings at california public utilities commission. >> thank you. i'm barbara hale. i'm going to talk about five topics. enrollment in our program and some facts that we have solidified and we have new staff and materials from our outreach efforts. first offer enrollment, i'm very happy to report that the program continues to successfully operate. we are serving 7300 active locations. we have no additional customer opt outs for about a week now. we are at a steady 1.9% opt out. very low. our fall enrollments are under way a continue. we have sent 64700 enrollment notices. what we are talking about doing here is going from 7300 to 67400. so quite a big jump. >> and if we continue to have that 1.9% opt out rate, that's a huge jump. >> that's a big jump, yes. and so far we've only had 0.4% of the customers we sent notices to opt out. that's how we started with our may enrollment. we started with two notices so far. we are going to send out two more as required b

cleanpowersf customer. and not only that but we establish metering rates and terms for our customers. the commission went ahead and established them earlier this year. but in addition super green customers would receive the highest rate because they are paying the highest rate so you have an added incentive if you will because of the energy that you generate from your solar system that spills to the grid. >>>we are also proposing to continue to foster program stability by simplifying the go solar sf incentives to one dollar per kilowatt instead of a complex table that we currently have. we are proposing to step down all of the incentives to reflect the lower cost of the solar that we saw. it is time to recognize that is cheaper to install solar today and we should just our incentive programs down as a result. we are proposing to step incentive payments down for customers by small increments. predictability is important for the stakeholder community so having a casual step down is helpful. we propose a step

that has now happened and cca and cleanpowersf can go on without lafco. there are a number of us at lafco that has been going on for 8 years we are going to be termed out. if there is no one else to replace us, then we'll see that lafco could die in the vine. what led each of us to want to take part in lafco was that we had a big project that we wanted to see happen, cleanpowersf. so i think it's important that if we are going to make sure that it's not just the, you know, the existence of the organization, but what the organization can do. i think having these two projects are really great ideas to explore. fiber has been one that lafco has looked at and addressed 10 years back if not more. i think there is a possibility of fiber being a really program and project that can grow. and i think it's important if we are going to have, it seems like the department of technology is doing their own rfp that looks for fiber, i think that's a project that we can monitor. lafco should have that report heard here when it's ready. i think we should also you know, tal

state renewable protocol standards that requirement excuse me - is a 10 year or more requirement cleanpowersf has to execute the long term contract by the end of this calendar year and we're working together with the finance staff and at the puc and the city attorney's office on a long term contract for new renewable energy projects and we are also in discussion with a couple of the short listed bidders from the solicitation to meet that regulatory requirement more as our attention turns but about heads up the next issue we'll be talking about has we get back together in september and in addition in september we'll be talking about how we're proposing to integrate our cleanpowersf program and the go solar were commissioner moran you've asked for that and been patient with the contractors that are active in the program we've got a lot more work to do in those conversations but ready by the september 13th meeting i'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. >> thank you. >> the resource adequacy plan is that to make sure we have enough power to provide to the customers. >> the resource a
