continuing to emerge tonight, crews rescued nearly 600 people from a flooded clearwater apartment complexrsday morning. that includes more than 115 children. you can imagine the scene. first responders first got the calls wednesday night, but had to delay rescue efforts because of the high winds. crews use high water vehicles to get everyone out of there. many were taken to shelters. so far, no timeline on when those people will be able to return home. well, thousands of people were in the state's capital today honoring 36 firefighters who died in the line of duty. the annual firefighters memorial ceremony happened. the event began with a ceremony at the convention center with families of fallen firefighters, along with state and local leaders. their family members were presented with a flag in their honor. the ceremony, followed by a procession to the memorial wall in capitol park. governor newsom was among many there to recognize those firefighters. it's also true that states and nation not only reveal themselves by the people they produce, they reveal themselves ultimately by the peopl
