and you've got to have an impeachable offense and, cleary, there was not one -- clearly, there was not. even if there was, to impeach a president who's going to be out of office at noon next week on wednesday makes no sense. you cannot impeach a private citizen. the moment donald trump ends his tenure is the moment he's no longer subject to a senate trial. and so any attempt to do it forces this to go to the court, the court will dismiss it, and it's all a waste of taxpayers' time and money. gerry: so what do you think should happen in i mean, again, as you said, there are those who say the president didn't directly incite violence, but he was challenging the results of the election, he was asking his supporters to go to capitol hill and pressure mike pence, the vice president, to do something he couldn't do. clearly, the whole thing ended as it did. should the president face any kind of censure at all, or do you think everything he did was absolutely fine? >> well, i don't think it was fine. i think it was, you know, reckless, and it didn't, i think, serve the country's interest very
