debra clemons is live in berkeley with the developments. >> reporter: we're outside of sam's right now and it's business as usual. but boy have those owners had a busy day today. someone set a fire outside of their business, threatening their business. switch to another view and you can see in the upper left hand corner they've stopped and appear to be doing something with the recycling bin. they leave and a short time later it's engulfed in flames. police show up to put it up with extinguishers, but flairs go back up and they beat it down again. the owners consider the damage to their store front, they gave surveillance video to police this morning. video police are now analyzing. >> i hope the two are on that video, and they get caught. and something happens to them like a night in jail and they go in for arson. because that is arson, it's not a prank. >> reporter: there was no damage to the store, so the aywaq received shipments but was furious. another fire early this morning burned a scooter and others have targeted a dock, a bench, even a portable toilet. >> we're fairly certain

clemons is on the scene right now with the latest on the investigation. >> reporter: julie, we are outside sam's market. let me show you this is where the recycling bin was. if you can look over here you can see the bin that was set on fire. berkeley police and firefighters were on scene within moments to put out the flames keeping damage to a minimum. on this surveillance tape you see two people who appear to look in the store front then do something to the recycling bin that flames up soon after they leave. store owner fred ayad and his son hope their surveillance cameras will help police capture the arsonist. >> cost me money and more expenses to the businesses. >> i hope something happens to the men on the video. >> reporter: 14 of the same incidents are from the same suspects. >> often times they're by the shadows, they're by trees. they want to see the response, they want to see the flames. it's the thrill that the suspect is seeking. >> reporter: and police say because arsonists like to linger, the public can be extremely helpful in this investigation by reporting any suspicious cha
