us and 250 yards down the cliff if daly city. she is 54. coast guard helicopter has done a couple of passes and rescuers are coming up with a land to get her off the cliff. the helicopter is expected to return in 30 minutes for the rescue. the reason why the helicopter was needed because rescuers were chased off by her two dogs. she walked with the pit bulls and a 2-year-old man at midnight and he tumbled down the cliff. he walked out but was take were to the hospital. the womans with trapped 75' to 100' up the cliff. we have seen the coast guard helicopter assessing the situation and flying by, and firefighters do not believe she is injured. the dogs are not stuck. animal really is here. if they can get the dogs uncontrol it makes it easier for the firefighters. the second option is to use nonlethal weapons on them possibly bean bag gun to get them away from the woman. the helicopter is expected in the next 30 minutes and they are swapping out pilots in san francisco. francisco. we will monitor the situation >> thanks, matt, and

so this woman has been stuck on the cliff. is about 100 feet from the top of the cliff and about 100 feet from the bottom. she is right in the middle. the coast guard helicopter arrived on scene at palisades park and thornton state beach to get the woman off the ledge and hopefully the two dogs, as well. it all started about midnight. a man and woman were walking with those two dogs and they all fell down the cliff to the beach below. the man is 27 years old pulled himself up and went to find help. emergency crews found the woman about 54 years old and the dogs about 100 to 150 feet up from the beach. so one dog is with her the other a few yards away. rescuers tried to rappel down to get her but the dogs chased them back. crews on the ground are now waiting to see what the coast guard can do. as to how this couple got there walking on a cliff at midnight, authorities aren't sure. >> obviously, every citizen should be careful near a cliff area like this. it's dangerous. should be treated with caution. >> reporter: now, both the
