clippers. today's ruling solidifies that donald sterling will no longer maintain an ownership stake in the franchise. trish regan broke this story and joins me now with more. how did this all go down? >> it has been quite a process, quite a few months. let me give you the specifics on this morning. on the east noon coast, the superior court judge did issue his final order. it is in response to the objections that donald sterling's legal team filed last night. about a week and a half ago, the superior court judge did rule that shelley sterling had the right to sell the team to steve ballmer. sterling then petitioned appellate court last friday, asking they listen to his appeal. that same friday, that same day, the appellate court came back and said no, we were not going to listen to this appeal. sterling's lawyers then issued an objection last night, back to the superior court, to the original judge, who said that this sale could go through. that judge this morning rejected those objections. her
