i'm head of cloudflare. it was founded in 2010. in 2010 our founders realized that there was a gap between the largest enterprise and the small ones. so the large enterprises had security, they had faster websites and small and thin. so they were seeing a divided internet. they decided to fix that gap, offer services that allowed smaller enterprises to beat up their internet and keep it secured from common attacks like people injection, a lot of things that are just common cyberattacks. that's the foundation of where we are as a company. in 2014, we realized that in order to do what we wanted to do, which our mission is to help build a better internet, we had to provide services to entities that shouldn't be knocked off line. so we started offering free services to civil society groups, the human rights groups, the media organizations that we really thought had an important place to play on the internet. so our election work actually comes out of that work. so we started, after offering free services, we realized this was something
