congressman jim clyburn of south carolina joins me now. he is house majority whip.lect subcommittee on the coronavirus crisis. let's start there with these negotiations, congressman. we just learned another 1.2 million americans filed for unemployment benefits under the c.a.r.e.s. act have expired. given where things stand now in the senate, where do we go from here? how do we somehow bridge this gap that reportedly is trillions of dollars apart? >> first of all, thank you very much for having me, craig. that 1.2 million, people need to be aware, that brings the total to somewhere around 55 million americans who have filed, of which 31 million are still unemployed. so though that number may have come down from expectations, the fact of the matter is, it's a part of a big, big number. what we are trying to do is have a comprehensive plan. you can't do this in silos. what the republicans want to do is pick something here, pick something over there and go out and jam us while they go back home. no. this has got to be comprehensive. people are unemployed and, therefore,

i don't think like jim clyburn or al sharpton. blacks are individuals. we vote on production. we don't vote based on color. we don't have a jim clyburn come out and tell african-americans joe is okay. joe is not okay. joe is not all there. and joe has conned americans. we are not going to vote democrat just because you tell us. i left the democrat party to vote for donald trump for one reason. donald trump accomplishes things. last point. the democratic party has been totally hijacked by the extremist groups, bernie sanders and socialists. that's not the old democratic party. this is a socialist democratic party. black americans believe in law and order and they will vote for donald trump. judge jeanine: if you look at what he's done for the community, yes. but in the end, how do you separate people like that. it's antithetical to everything we are talking about today, isn't it? >> it is. look at joe biden as he's trying to select a vice presidential candidate. it's outrageous, it's insulting to women, it's insulting to men. he takes votes for granted. he openly called african
