congressman clyburn, as always, thank you for coming to the show.ust heard from governor desantis. >> well first of all, thank you very much for having me on. that was one of the most ridiculous things i've ever heard from a public servant. here is a man who's the governor of the state of florida saying that the january 6th was not an insurrection. the trials, how did people have pled guilty? how many people have now been sentenced in jail? all four insurrections. and he is in the midst of all of that. our judicial system taking an independent look at what took place on january 6th and saying to the american people, these people that are guilty of inspections, they're going to jail, others are going to be tried. we now have a impending, what i think is impending indictment on that same subject. it could be of the president of the united states. he on the campaign trail saying that it was not an insurrection. people gather there, that is villainous and he ought never -- that 90% you just showed, that me should be something like a zero. >> congressman

so we saw congressman jim clyburn here today at this flex foot manufacturing facility in columbia talkingeally the improvements and the advances that have been made to south carolinians thanks to the president. the president even acknowledging that he wouldn't be on that stage today without the help of congressman jim clyburn. all of this is in an effort as we've seen white house officials talk about this phase two of their investing in america plan to get out to all of the areas of the country and talk about how legislation that president biden has signed into law, things that could sound abstract to many voters are helping them in concrete ways. the president even acknowledging they are benefitting republicans who voted against these key pieces of legislation, things like the chips and science act, the inflation reduction act, the bipartisan infrastructure law. the president specifically acknowledging those republicans today thanking the ones that did support these pieces of legislation. all of this in an effort to really re-up a campaign message we heard from him in 2020, when he said
