i live in san mateo, i am still on the board of cmac, i still come to meetings for cmac. i want to go out and see the other owners and talk to them more. i am more of a city-wide guy. i do not just hang out in soma, i party and dine in all districts. i have business owners in all districts. why not go out with the permit officer and just go? i have no problems with that. i think the main thing is to make the commission something proud that not only that they are promoting entertainment, they're making sure responsible owners own bars and clubs. at the same time, we have to do something to bring business back to san francisco and also to protect the tourists that come here. and because i have relationships with a lot of the venue owners, i could make headway to get some compromise or to get some things going like i did with the neighbors. that is basically it. supervisor kim: thank you. we will open up for questions. i do not know if you remember the questions i asked before. i know that you worked on the policy. if you could speak about the unmonitored parking policy and

i am here tonight on behalf of cmac's board of directors. i would like to add our perspective. and also for the record. the california music and culture association, an alliance of venue owners and industry professionals, artists, and fans dedicated to the preservation and enrichment of music and culture was formed october 26, 2009 to meet the need for a unified particulate and reliable voice that represents nightlife business of all types. we're in favor of making entertainment a permanent use -- permitted use on 11th street north of harrison. it has been one of the many places where entertainment can be found in san francisco and would like to see that continue. making entertainment is permitted use will ensure the viability of these businesses in this area. cmac elease mixed use the evidence have become possible with the advancement of modern including building materials and believes expanded use of new technology will go far in making good neighbors. entertainment on 11th street has been and we hope it will continue to be a great contributor to the neighborhood for many rea

as venues, it is really important that you come together, whether it be in cmac, or your smaller organizations, so you can work together, have one voice to work with city government. >> that is a perfect segue. i was in the group with south of market, bayview. we talked a lot about organization, communication with the police department's. something that i wrote down that i did not even know, if you feel like you need to call the police, you should. if you do not feel at 911 is appropriate, use 553-0123. i did not know that. that is a direct line where you can get an ambulance. we also talked about -- the commander talked about -- your relationship with your police officer. the captain said he intends to start a monthly meeting with the nightclub owners at the station. he does not want security. he wants to meet with the owners of the night clubs once a month. that is a fantastic idea. i want to plug that around to all of the stations, certainly the ones that have a number of night clubs in their area, so that that can become a routine relationship. if a capt. changes, which happens all the tim
