cnbc's karen gilchrist is here with a preview. good morning. >> hey, frances, good morning. yes, all eyes are on the personal consumption expenditures price index today. now this is the federal reserve's preferred inflation gauge. and we'll get the latest read on the state of anaphylainflation the fed meets next week. they are predicting that it grew 2.8% mg grew. now this comes after third quarter u.s. gdp came in on wednesday showing the economy grew at 2.8% on the year. that's slightly below expectations of 3.1%. and this would all feed into how americans are feeling about the state of the economy. one of the key issues as we march towards voting day for the u.s. presidential election next week. but maybe some positive news for coffee drinkers. starbucks has said it will no longer charge extra for non-dairy milk all terternative. this is part of the grande overhaul plan by the ceo who wants to return the coffee chain to its roots and get customers to spend a little bit more time there. >> they need those customers back. thank y
