thank you for watching cnn. have to begin with this gruesome story, gruesome murder scene, police chase. this three-hour standoff, absolutely has rocked this suburban houston neighborhood of spring, texas. ron lee hasankle is charged in the deaths of two adults and four children, a family who police say were killed execution style. police say he apparently pose oh ed as a delivery driver, entered this home of one of his estranged wife's relatives, gathered up the children, waited for the two adults to arrive and shot all seven family members. how about this, though. a 15-year-old girl was able to survive a gunshot wound to her head. she somehow had the wherewithal to call 911, tipped off police to the suspect's next possibly deadly move. >> she was the only clue we had to the amount of information that we could gather on this suspect here. >> she was able to provide us the name of the person who shot them, where he was going next and we quickly responded to that location and caught him coming up to that resident

cnn's dr.jay gupta joins me now with the very latest. >> jim, what we know about these peace corps volunteers, two of them, they seem to have come in contact with someone who was sick with ebola without knowing it. they weren't there for ebola-related projects. subsequently that person died of ebola, and they went back and found all the contacts. two of them were these peace corps volunteers. so the process right now is that they into isolation. so in case they have the infection, they don't continue to spread it. and they have their temperature monitored every day. if they go without a fever for 21 days, then it's unlikely they have the infection. but even as their colleagues are leaving the country, jim, some 340 peace corps volunteers, they are staying behind for this isolation process. also, those two health care workers in liberia, we've heard a couple days ago they were quite sick, even deteriorating in terms of their physical health at that point. a little bit of good news. they may have
