joining me now here in south carolina are south carolina state representatives gilda cobb hunter and john king, both are democrats, and kaiton dawson, national republican consultant and former chair of the south carolina gop. thank you very much for being here. and gilda, i have to start with you. these margins that hillary clinton turned in against bernie sanders among african-american voters, more even than what any of us really expected her to do. what is behind that? >> well, i think senator -- secretary clinton had something to prove. it was never in doubt that she would win south carolina. the question was always by what margin. what she did last night by surpassing president obama's margin is a real mental lift to the campaign. i think she's got the wind behind her back. she's reedy, moving forward. by the same token, joy, i think senator sanders can take some solace in his numbers for somebody who started in single digits and to end last night with double digit support is

lee cobb/economic development consultant: "we were always able to overcome that." lee cobb spent several decades marketing lynchburg as an economic development director. attract two of the city's largest employers: j.crew and frito lay. luring those companies was not easy. cobb: "the tough part was getting them over that barrier where they said they had to be on an interstate." lynchburg is about an hour from the nearest interstate; a transportation obstacle that was nearly avoided. when the highway system was developed in the 1950's, planners conceived several different routes for interstate 64. one would have taken the highway from richmond into lynchburg following u-s route 60, but that plan never came to pass. instead, 64 was routed through charlottesville and staunton, leaving lynchburg with no interstate of its own. lynchburg has several highways that function like an interstate. routes 460 and 29 pass through the city as four lane freeways, but that doesn't mean much to companies outside the region who are looking for a red, white, and blue shield on the map

it's safe to say that joshua arvie and ivan cobb are not accustomed to iowa winters. both are employees of c.f. industries here in sioux city and both are from the south, louisiana and misssppi to be exact. they say the winter weather is the worst they've seen since moving to the hawk eye state.
