we had assistant deputy chief mike cochran, andy zanoff, and we had pat darcy, he works up at the 911r, and i believe division three was there that night, as well, and jana was there, too. the next day, the chief rivera, chief nicholson, and mark corso and i met with the assistant city administrator to discuss where we're at in terms of our easter projects and that is a continued work in progress as they work to close a gap so what they're anticipating to be is more money for a project that is nearing completion, and that's the traffic company. it's not our project, it's the police department's project, but it was looked at in totality. so that will continue to be a discussion point related to possible movement of some funds to complete that project, and i'll have more information on that as time goes on. we also had the opportunity -- so we've celebrated ann kronenberg who was a pleasure to work with. mayor breed moved quickly and named her replacement. it's mary ellen carroll, who i've worked with and look forward to working with in an even closer capacity. she had begun her career

i'm kate cochran from gensler. been working with joe toohey and the people at p.r.c. for the last few months to develop this sign. when we sat down with them at the beginning of this project, they were talking a lot about how it was very important for them to come together in this one space. it's very difficult sometimes when you're spread out, publicly funded, you don't have quite the same access to public resources that other people do, so being there at this location is critical for them to perform their services. one thing that's really amazing about p.r.c., being now this group of different services together, is that there is this ability to help somebody along different parts of the process towards setting them up towards a more successful future, where a lot of services are disjointed and give you only one benefit and there's not really a continuous process. so it kind of sets people up for failure when they can't really have a connected, integrated case management system. so for them to be in this one building is really crucial for the success of the people th

i also want to thank tom cochran and all of the conference staff. it is an honor to work with the conference in this capacity and work with our outstanding youth from across the country and around the world. when i was a high school student in gresham, i got frustrated with an issue that was essential for any high school or growing up in my generation, a lack of available parking at the high school. i did what any future mayor would do. after receiving a lot of tickets for on street parking, i carefully researched the issue, i studied city code, and i came up with a workable remedy that would not unduly impact the adjacent neighborhood, that would free up more street parking for students. i collected my thoughts at a short presentation and signed up for citizen comments at the very next council meeting. my remarks were greeted with platitudes from counselors about how nice it is to hear from a young person, and essentially a great big collective pat on the head. in fact, one of the councilors was my history teacher. he said, "give him an a. next." t
