chief cochran is working hard and his staff with the disaster response manual review. we are continually revising the manual. it is a living document. we have reinstituted our incident management team. we have sent out to the field a request and many new members are signing up to assist us with that. we will be expanding our team. we had a mayoral directive for sffd planning or coupe. this is who is in charge of what, what are their duties. it is the city's homework they gave us. that was completed and submi submitted. the special events steering committee, homeland security is working hard with ems to assist with the many growing city-wide events which continue to be a challenge for staffing. the delegation of the french agency we were honored to have the french homeland division visit headquarters. they toured in our pump station and we discussed wild land fires, homeland security, natural disasters, active shooters and our auxiliary water supply system. the pio group did a great job. fleet week as you know is coming up october 6 through 14. homeland security is invo

i have been, chief cochrane is doing a great job with this but now there's another city obstacle and it's a joke. we got to get through it. we put police officers and firefighters in danger by not having these drones. and that's my original comment that i made earlier. we are doing a terrible job of taking care of ourselves because this is one tool that will help us in the end. it will help firefighters, help the public but it also helps us by allowing us not to put ourselves into certain positions certain dangerous positions that we voluntarily do because we do our job really well. but it's a disgrace we didn't have our own drone out there looking for this fallen officer. and i'm embarrassed by it because i take responsibility for this. i've been asking about this for three years and obviouslily i'm not pushing the right buttons in this city to get it done but it's embarrassing. it really is embarrassing. this should be a 21st century department with all the tools that we need and the fact that we have to call on the neighbor is embarrassing. it's not a criticism of you or this depa
