we already have a code book. we have pictures in the code book. but what we need is something to go through. we have a plan and it's the set of plans that we can go off of as well so just a reminder when we should be looking at things. some of the big things -- we get the big things and the toilets where they're supposed to be and when i check the fas set a certain size and we need the reminders that okay are we looking at a doctor's office? do i need to relook at the parking? if someone wants to change something okay is it allowed under the new code and gives a checklist to make sure we're not running -- because the plans aren't always the way the plans are when they get built so this has been well received. if nothing else it helps them to go to answer the questions and gives the sections they need to go to and one of the things that the guys really like. it's only been a week. i haven't gotten a lot of feedback with. if it's five pages they're not going to use it. two pages yeah we can use it. >> thank you. how liz how does the enforcement play

there were questions i had when i read the planning code amendments over the weekend. i will say a couple things, i do think the thereis a question that needs to be had on the board when we increase the number of units built on certain sites which this legislation does, but what is sth benefit and the cost and are we insurer there are befores to the community when we confur blfts on the developer. what made me feel comfortable at land use-i was worried about taking away the minimum square footage for units, a because i don't think micro units create more affordable housing. it duntz necessarily address the housing needs we need to see in the city. i know there is debate about this on the board. 2, that we confer a benefit by allowing more units to be built on the same unit. a couple things helped alleviate the concern, one the 40 percent requirement for 2 bedroom unit or more will be kept in place insureing it is not just 150-354 feet that can be built and profit from. as we think about what is means to raise affordability we are limited in being able to do this outsid

then the facility went into what is known as code white. that is the code for an active shooter. and requires an immediate sheltering in place. we have heard multiple announcements on loud speaker that employees are to remain in lockdown, to shelter in their offices until there is an all clear given. there has not been an unclear. but i can tell you there is a tremendous police response here. every federal, state and local agency that i have ever seen on the scene of a situation is out here. we've heard intermittently some alarms going off. in my 30 years in the d.c. area, very never heard that from this facility. i know the retired navy man mr. cast, fritz cast said there had been a bomb scare in the past but i have never heard and i live in the area, those alarms going off. again there is heightened sensitivity, especially in d.c. but across the country due to our ongoing threats from isis. president obama at 4:00 today unless it is rescheduled is due to speak at the pentagon. is he likely to speak about the 16 air strikes over the holiday weekend on syrian isis targets. again
then the facility went into what is known as code white. that is the code for an active shooter. and requires an immediate sheltering in place. we have heard multiple announcements on loud speaker that employees are to remain in lockdown, to shelter in their offices until there is an all clear given. there has not been an unclear. but i can tell you there is a tremendous police response here. every federal, state and local agency that i have ever seen on the scene of a situation is out here....
