absolutely right, but of all of 2020, we still had an extremely quick confirmation of justice cohen amy barrett but there are still steps to the process and particularly in the senate, a lapse between certain steps of that process, and so i too expect democrats to move quickly but we're obviously not looking at a situation where president biden names a nominee and there's a confirmation vote the next day or something like that. >> you know, with all the efforts last week though, failed, about eliminating the filibuster, if the democrats had caught the car and the filibuster were eliminated, what would the next year in the senate potentially look like? would it be the wild west? >> so i think this is actually a really important question, because to go back to a point i made earlier, there are things that are currently being stopped by the filibuster that would pass, i think, if the filibuster was eliminated and we were only looking at in most situations needing a simple majority to end debate, and move to final passage, but i think that there are also plenty of things on which there is disagreem

others touched on the issue, it often harkens back to they believe the way in which now justice amy cohen barrettconfirmation process, what strikes you about this line of questioning? >> i think one is that it really can throw a nominee off, because this was the first question of the day that she was offered is what religion are you? with senator graham asked, and i felt she handled it extremely well, by talking about, you know, her faith but also saying she considered her faith in some ways to be not relevant to the hearing at hand because we don't have religious test for judges. i thought the best moment of the day on this came from senator cory booker where he really talked to her, went back to that line and allowed her to legreal talk about her relationship with her parents and what it's like to be a working mother because we have to remember she would be a working mother on the supreme court which is a really important perspective. and i think we got a lot fuller idea of who she is and her character which again shows that she is headed towards confirmation. it looks like, because she has sho

confirmation process looks a lot different from the most recent one, when compared, to it which is amy cohen barrett'st of scrutiny from democratic senators. and it has been several weeks since we've launched the campaign for jackson's confirmation. she's met with dozens of senators, many republicans. and we really have not heard of a cohesive strategy or line of questioning, or attacks, that they plan to use against her. we have heard from many of them after the readings with her, they have said that they recognize the history making potential of this moment. judge jackson will be obviously the first black woman to sit on a bench, if confirmed. she says that the resume speaks for herself. she is obviously very qualified. mitch mcconnell says there is a high likelihood that she is confirmed. but we keep an eye on several gop 2020 hopefuls, who we think could use this very high-profile platform, and use it to their advantage. one of them, specifically, is missouri senator josh hawley, who is already come out and attack jackson on her criminal defense marker, specifically setting nearly a dozen child po
