look, tom cole is a very good soldier for the republican party.former executive director of the republican national committee. he was putting the best face on the situation for donald trump. let's be honest, the white house is not a fine-tuned machine, and he is struggling. his numbers especially with college-educated voters are very, very difficult, and when you look at the challenges facing republicans in congress to repeal obamacare and replace it, that is very complicated is difficult because you're going to create a class of victims, people who lose benefits that they currently have. we're going to see a lot of the evidence this week at town halls that republican members of congress are facing and tax reform, difficult as well, disagreements between house and senate, uncertainty over whether or not they increase the deficit, make is revenue neutral. there are a lot of cross-currents there, and the lower donald trump falls and the shakier his standing, the less able he is going to be to break through. >> let me follow up on that, john. i was a
