colfax. another question i have is regarding testing. we're starting to see a lot more people getting tested for covid-19. is the city going to ramp up testing again, especially that the mass testing sites have been closed? >> yes. so we ramped up testing dramatically in both at our al -- alemany sites and [inaudible] and at this point, that increase in demand has not decreased in supply. we are working with our partners and across our health care system partners, kaiser, ucsf, sutter, and so forth, to expand testing. people who have health care providers are experiencing some delays both in getting some appointments and some delays in getting test results back, so we're working to mitigate that as much as possible. we're also working to access home test kits, which we haven't had in prior times, to help people get rapidly tested. but we acknowledge that testing demand is increasing and, again, are working hard to expand testing options, testing hours for people so that people can get tested when they need to. >> okay. great. next, we'll

and the river fire near colfax is now part of the dixie complex. it destroyed nearly 100 structures, many of them homes. reporter stephanie lynn spoke to one resident of colfax, who lost her childhood home to the fire. emily matthew keeps herself busy managing the beach hut deli in colfax. we've been trying to stay open, just in case families need to come in, you know, not everyone like people's house burned down, so not everyone has access to food and the work a welcome distraction. i lost my house and the fire, but it's okay. it's for we're working it out together as a family's matthew grew up on bear view drive just north of colfax high school, the river fire burned her childhood home to the ground. it's completely life changing what happened here, eric lunetta runs the pizza factory in town. he's lived in colfax for nine years and says he's never seen wildfire comes so close. it was just a pillar of smoke right from our house, unable to find a hotel for miles lunetta and his family wound up sheltering in this room in the back of their business.
