now, the coliseum was built in 1966.e only multipurpose stadium still being used in major american pro sports. both the as and the raiders say it's showing plenty of wear and tear. as we've been reporting, it has had multiple sewage problem and flooding on the field and in the clubhouse. fans are not giving up, though. they launched a website yesterday. it features what would a ballpark would look like. so far the group has received a pledge of 5,000 seats and $12 million. the as share the coliseum with the raiders. the raiders missed a deadline to submit a letter of interest of working on a project to transform the current stadium into a coliseum city. city leaders have been hoping to create a sports and entertainment destination that would would be complete with shops, restaurants and a hotel. the raiders have not issued a statement as to why they did not issue that letter but we'll be following all of the latest developments on the stories. dave? >> thank you. >>> 8:15. the warriors also making plans to move out of oa

ktvu's paul chambers is live outside o.co coliseum. even with the latest set back leaders are committed to getting a fair deal? >> reporter: leaders told me the deal they offered the a's is a fair deal but what they feel isn't fair is subsidies they are asking for. they talked about other issues. >> we cannot finance the sports teams without the sports teams coming forth with their resources. >> reporter: a supervisor and chairman of the oakland-alameda county coliseum authority. he knows what the authority is going to keep them in oakland. leaders fought hard to keep the teams here but there is not much they can do since the owners want options. he says the authority is working out a deal with the raiders to build a new stadium and at the same time trying to keep the a's. the a's want the city and county to give the team $35 million in subsidies. on top of that the a's want $5 million of unpaid rent written off. they sounded off about the negotiations. >> i am not commenting on the negotiations. >> the $5 million could be used for pub

the "san francisco chronicle" reporting to the director of the coliseum authority and the lease agreement, if the warriors leave oakland before 2027, they are oed to pay off the debt on the arena project and at this point that is looking to be about $61 million. if the team doesn't pay it taxpayers would be on the hook. the warriors are saying, they don't owe anything beyond 2017 when the lease expires. this comes as oakland is hosting public workshop to get people's input on a future coliseum city designed to keep the warriors, the a's and the raiders in oakland. >> we are going forward with a place for all our teams to participate. the plan will have a wonderful environment for the new venue for the teams when or if they want to participate is we will have a place if all of them. >> the raiders are "very interested" but the a's have not been specific about what they would want and this week the warriors announced they bought 12 acres in san francisco's mission bay with plans to built $18,000 seat arena in time for the 2018-2019 season. sources are saying that the dispute will likely end
