as has columbine, as has luke woodham. as has little rock, as has pearl, mississippi. including the inspeakable tragedy that happened in connecticut, just such a short time ago. with all those little children who were gunned down. and the national questions will continue, how we as a society respond to this. why we in the united states are subjected to this. or victims of this, more it would seem statistically than people in other parts of the world. and what exactly would be the right course of action for us as a society. is see something, say something enough? to what degree do we need to increase security? how much would that make us feel better about ourselves and about the situation? but protect us, how much bet centre how many metal detectors, how many armed guards are going to solve these problems? how much of this is about counseling and getting to know our neighbors? finding out who needs help and why and what people's concerns are. hopefully at some point we'll get answers to these questions. for this moment we're waiting to hear from the sheriff who is there
