commissioner charles ramsey. and they announced that two philadelphia police officers are now charged with beating a man. take a look at their pictures. police officer shawnt, and kevin robinson. those charges against both of those officers include aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy obstruction and five other charges. now, they are accused of beating up a man named najeh rivera. this happened in may of 2013 near north seventh and somerset streets in north philadelphia. the district attorney and the police commissioners say the two officers lied about what happened. they say rivera tried to assault the officers. but in reality, camera -- surveillance cameras showed the two officers knocked him off his motor scooter and then proceeded to beat him with their fists as well as a baton. and so the district attorney as well as the police commissioner say there is no room for police brutality. >> same rules should apply to everyone, rich or poor black or white, or sworn officer with a badge. >> reporter: now the charges against rivera have been dropped. as for the two officers they were suspended for 30 days with the intent to dismiss from the force. we'll s
