you can tell by the shading mta's fares are relatively low compared to other fares. light rail exhibited a similar pattern. so, with extensive coverage throughout the entire city and relatively low fares this should not be much of a surprise we have very high rider ship. the number of light rail boardlings per person in san francisco is nearly two and a third times the next highest city and bus boardings is 2-1/2 time the next highest city. it does appear, however, that our high rider ship comes at a price in terms of vehicle speed. in the top chart the average speed of light rail vehicles is plotted on the horizontal axis and the average speed is plotted on the vertical axis. you can see san francisco stands somewhat apart from its peers as our vehicles are slower on average for both modes. but there is an apparent reason for that. the lower chart charts the average speed for buses against bus boardings per revenue mile. it shows a high correlation between the two vehicles. intuitively this makes sense because each time a vehicle stops to board light rail passengers

the occ has sustained 14 cases to date compared to 10 last year as of may 14. a 40 percent increase. the next report would be our april statistical report. so i'm going backwards in time. those are the most up to date statistics. the april report is has charts attached to it that i won't go over. i will highlight mediation. three 3 cases were mediated in april 2014. the same as were mediated in april 2013. 20 occ complaints were mediated between january 1, 2014 , and april 30, 2014. compared to 15 complaints between january 2013 and april 30th. our mediations are up. with adjudication of sustained complaints in april 2014, these are the cases that the occ has sustained and the chief has made a ruling on those cases. and chief sir adjudicated 8 in april. 1 case involving neglect duty and the officer removed the phone from the person. the officer was admonished. the officer failed to collect data. another one failure to collect traffic stop data. the officer was admonished and retrained. the next case, the officer made rude comments to a fair who did not want to
