the concord geyser. errr not joking about this. this is a fire hydrant which has sheared off at highway port chicago. this is an on ramp access to 242. that hydrant, presumably the one that got knocked off, 75 feet high as far as the geyser went for two hours in the area. a lot of water being cleared up. concord pd talked about traffic control, and so are we. just off 242. cuts between highway 4 and that area. it's a major roadway. later on in the commute, we'll track that. also, gas stations, a couple places to get coffee, a lot of folks use that as access to fuel their body and car getting over to the freeway. we'll watch this carefully. 242, 680, highway 4 all moving slowly because it's very early. traffic is light at 4:48. here southbound 680, that shows slowing coming down through sunol out of pleasanton. the overnight road work still has crews in the area and they haven't cleared up everything so there will likely be more slowing. it will continue on until 6:00, but hopefully by then it's completely clear because that's when
