and in concord, we have the concord fault which becomes the green valley fault.o we're sort of ground zero for faults. and all of these faults are active. and over the past few hundred years they have all produced large earthquakes. since 1906, the bay area has been very, very quiet seismically. 1906 was really so large that it released all the stress throughout the crust in the bay area and that's been rebuilding. and we're going to reach a point in time where these faults have enough stress on them that they can fail in large earthquakes. and exactly when that is, we don't know. but we have suggested -- we've done some studies that by the year 2043, between now and then, we have a 72% chance that one of these big faults will produce a 6.7 or larger earthquake. and we can't be any more precise at this point in time. but we know -- we have had earthquakes in the past. we can see it in the geologic record and we know we are going to have them on these faults in the future. the question is exactly when and -- and we don't know exactly. >> yeah. 6.7 or higher, that

(pam) concord police are looking for two men caught on video... a plumber's van on tuesday morning. kron4's maureen kelly talked to the victim who says, this crime has been a huge setback for his family business. in less than 10 minutes two theives undid about 5 years worth of the one hardworking family's progress.you can see it happen on this high def security video.it was just after 230 am on tuesday when the two men broke into the stanton plumbing company's van parking behind their north concord townhouse.the burglarers eventually walked away with all of the company's specialty plumbing tools.....totalling about 8 grand. they also damaged the van's ignition trying to steal that too. it's tough it pretty much races the emergency fund the hardest part again is getting on the road and getting things done and without the specialty tools obviously takes longer we didn't have to move money around to buy new stuff, you can operate(maureen) the van is been fixed and is back on the road and back on the road so stanton plumbing is back in operation but t
