flight aware, the plane left the airport in concord at 10:23 this morning. i just got off the phone with the ntsb. they have not been able to confirm that, but the ntsb did tell me that the pilot of the plane made contact with the control tower at john wayne given permission to land there, but after permission, the pilot ne crashed in a parking lot in santa ana killing all five on board. the plane also hit an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot, but fortunately, no one on the ground was hurt. here's how a witness described the scene after the crash. >> like, oh, a car crash, a bomb or something, so a couple of the staff ran outside and there was screaming so we followed, and i didn't see the crash immediately, just the red car and the back of it, like, oh, something happened to the car, and, oh, there's a plane, there's a plane. >> reporter: according to flight aware, the cessna 414 was registered to aviation corporation out of san francisco. we talked to the man helping the owner sell the plane for the past six months saying it was a 1973 plane for sale f
