we have 50 reported in concord and 48.land san jose, taking a step back at some of the our readings from the rainfall from the last 24 hours, anywhere from near an inch and red with city a little bit more than 9/10 of an inch and two tents in san francisco, and then you get into the north bay ken field, reporting more than an inch and a half the east bay fremont reporting an inch and a half the national weather service issued these numbers earlier today, the north bay. the levels were down about 200 ft. when it comes to the snow 1 to 3. inches of snowfall reported at that low level and some of the higher l. of nations reporting up to six inches in the east bay hills a few inches at about 700 ft. and in the santa cruz mountains, a few inches down about 700 ft. the higher elevations above 2500 ft. got anywhere from 10 inches of snow to a foot of snow. so quite impressive and historic day for the bay area. here's a look at where we're still seeing that snow in the sierra for us. we have calmed down quite a bit. we have a litt

as we move toward the east bay, the heavy rain continues to pick up for concord, moving toward dublin. it will soon be approaching livermore with fremont seeing heavy rain as well. and we were really seeing that rain picking up on the peninsula, but it has lessoned up a little around san mateo, but will continue off and on and now moving into san jose. eventually you'll see it in morgan hill and gilroy within the next 20 or 30 minutes. so this is all a part of a cold front sweeping on through, and ahead of that we are actually feeling warmer temperatures. the big story across the country has been how cold it's been, with even sub-zero temperatures. i was chatting with a meteorologist friend in minnesota now dealing with 30 degree below zero wind chills. san jose is at 56, one of the warmer spots when you take out florida with miami right now at 73 degrees. so annoying. we're going to see temperatures still staying cool and off and on showers throughout today. at any point you could see some rain but most of it is coming early in the day. later on this evening it dries out just a bit.

but a lot of us still in the 30's like in redwood city, fremont livermore up to concord and then across the north bay, the you're at 36 right now. same for us to know about petaluma at 39 degrees. skies clear and dry today. so if you may be put back all that yard work you wanted to get done. today's a good day to take care of it. as for roads, it's the height of the morning commute now. so we are looking at some backups out there. a 22 minute drive from the mesa, fremont street. that's pretty typical as you're trying to get to the maize. do watch out as you're heading westbound on 5.80. this is right there between san leandro in oakland. we have a traffic collision that has multiple lanes blocking that. starting to send it back up growing as you even try to make your way towards the bay bridge. as for the san mateo bridge, a 22 minute drive there. just a bit of a slow go as you try to make that crossing. richmond center fell bridge. it's taking a bit longer than it should 14 minutes. we do have a traffic hazard heading eastbound. so that's counter commute direction. send you a little ba
