promptly at 9:00, we saw the caltrans crews go by and pick up the final cones, traffic cones to reopenhad really the bulk of the people, the height of the thousands of people. there's about 15,000 people who ran across the golden gate bridge as part of the san francisco marathon this morning. that's when the bridge was most crowded. afterwards, things thinned out quite a bit. now there are no more pedestrians on the bridge. it is reopened to cars and vehicles. we had a chance to talk to the people who took part in the marathon. this is the first time that the san francisco marathon involved closing the northbound lanes of the golden gate bridge to vehicle traffic to accommodate the runners. they did it out of security concerns because of the -- concerns about terrorism, particularly the london bridge terror attack that happened earlier this year. they did it for safety purposes. the runners said they felt more comfortable this year with that approach. >> in terms of safety and feeling comfortable on the road and that kind of thing, i think it is a nice thing. the returns hopefully get
