thank you very much, mister chairman. i just had a few comments. first, i think the committee has performed a useful function for our democracy by suggesting ways to systematically improve the way congressunctions, that we've done that in a collaborative fashion, in a bipartisan fashion makes it even better. i would also like to thank our staff, the staff of the house administration committee and the modernization committee have worked together very collaboratively. it has really been seamless throughout this process. as the chair and the committee know, as we have made recommendations in modernization committee, we've been able to implement them and waited for a final report. we have gone ahead to implement many of the recommendations. in fact, some of them were in the works as our organization committee was looking at them. obviously, the house administration committee has in the primary jurisdiction over the operations of the house. but it's not the only committee that could have jurisdiction over some of the things that we are looking at. obviously, the budget committee comes to mind. that is a very large challenge to see how that might be improved as well as the appropriations comm
