committee will come to order. i want to acknowledge first of this will be the last hearing of the 117th congress and i just really want to take this opportunity to thank the dedicated staff of the majority and republican staff on the committee for the work that they have done. it's handled a lot of responsibilities and its portfolio increased dramatically and has one of the smallest staff of any of the standing committees on the senate and i want to thank them for their dedication and work and cooperation we have received from the majority and minority staff working together to get many major goals through the finish line i'm reminded the program is not an easy assignment. this has been a very productive congress for the small business entrepreneurship and i want to thank the members as well as our dedicated staff we are continuing today and i'm pleased senator marshall is stepping into be the ranking member for today's hearing. the committee will consider a hearing with access to capital and underserved communities. access to capital is the lifeblood of any business but especially critical to small business. they hadn't had equal access to these reso
