we sent connell mcshane out. very popular store, growing now thanks to amazon but with growth you sometimes get calls for unions. reporter: and you know, we are getting some of those calls now. it's very interesting the way this whole thing has played out. an e-mail had been sent out calling on workers to unionize. the big question now is how the workers themselves respond to that. what happened was a whole group of whole foods workers were upset with changes they say that took place after amazon took over so they got together, put this e-mail together, sent it out to a wider group of their colleagues. we were able to obtain a copy of it. i want to highlight one particular passage from that e-mail. it reads as follows. we should demand a labor model that offers a $15 minimum wage, 401(k) matching, paid maternity leave, lower health insurance deductibles, a fair and equitable gains share and bonus system and profit sharing among other benefits. this is a big story, maybe a big headache for jeff bezos and amazon a

neil: connell, thank you very much. before i add a little more on the hurricane, we're near session highs at corner of wall and broad for the dow jones industrials. technology is much of the story, particularly apple ahead of the new announcements. phones to watches, new ipads. issues like apple and amazon have given up 100 billion-dollars in market value the last couple days. reason enough for buyers to pounce back in. dragging the likes of facebook and others along even though they were in great duress. tech is down north of 2%. so a buying opportunity here. way too soon to tell, even trade sensitive issues could come back a little bit in sympathy here mainly on the view that china is threatening tariffs of its own but so far has indicated when it comes to boeing, it is intending to buy a lot more planes from the aircraft manufacturer, $1.3 trillion he worth over the next couple decades. so far no indication that the chinese plan to curb on that. we'll look at half full glass of trading. something that is much greater

our own connell mcshane is on the floor of the stock exchange. >> records continue with the dow jonesndustrial average at eight of nine sessions for the upside today. strength in the economy as a theme of writing concerns about a trade war people might have. the s&p 500 did share weaknesses into the close today but in terms of where we found the strength there were a number of places and will highlight the high crime stocks. talking first about the american airlines. they became latest to raise baggage fees which consumers might not like it but it's good for the bottom line. delta, united and jetblue going in that direction. then there's the marijuana stocks, hot socks at the beginning so much attention whether the server not this week. the reason they have been this canadian company which is up 40% one day alone but the stocks have bounced all over the place. some investors say it's way too much and others say it's an example of something you can make money going forward and let you be the judge of that. big picture, another record for the dow in a week we look forward to the bed exp
