where we stand right now, my thanks to connell mcshane subbing when i was out yesterday. here is what the betting is, the federal reserve in couple hours will announce a quarter-point cut interest rates. not a sure thing. confluence of data isn't convincing one way or the other. the argument for a cut, we've seen manufacturing weakness. we've seen global slowdown. all prices cutting from the worrisome up tick from the saudi attack. business confidence is winding down along with their capital spending. reason enough, cut just to keep them happy. now the strengths we've seen came out today with housing starts hitting a 12-year high, continuing a trend that shows so far, university of michigan sentiment, other surveys we're doing okay and things are going okay. in the middle of all of that, you have a report out of fedex saying we're not doing okay. telegraphing problems because of the trade war. the trade war is one of the big reasons why the fed will supposedly move today. it is all in what the fed lays out after it makes its move. the consensus seems to coalesce out of qu
