conor powell has more on the fight to retake this key iraqi city. >> reporter: isis has lost controlf more than two thirds of fallujah in recent days but they are far from defeated. militants continue to fight with iraqi commanders saying resistance is growing. insurgents have deployed snipers and detonated car bombs to slow government forces. the fighting sending thousands of civilians fleeing from fallujah. refugee camps are struggling to keep up with the growing numbers. still, in baghdad, iraqis took to the streets this weekend to celebrate the fall of fallujah as the fighting continues. already, commanders are starting to look towards the next battle. mosul is the second largest city in iraq and it's the only area still fully under control of isis. injuries -- conor powell, fox news. >>> a public memorial is set for a fallen san jose police officer, 34-year-old michael katherman died in a motorcycle crash while on patrol last week. tuesday's memorial is scheduled for 11:00 am at the s.a.p. center in san jose. there will be increased traffic in that area so authorities are asking

to conor powell with the latest from our jerusalem bureau. conor? >> stuart not surprisingly there are a lot of questions, unanswered questions at this point. they're starting to get a better picture of what happened two hours ago in the crowded market area of tel-a-viv. we understand two gunmen, and fox news has learned they are two cousins from the hebron area in the palestinian west bank, they opened fire in this crowded market area. eyewitnesss say at least one of them had a sort of semiautomatic, automatic type rifle and started firing into the crowd. we understand that at least one of them was neutralized and brought down by either an off-duty police officer or some type of security guard. we've seen social video. we've seen eyewitnesss say that at least one of the attackers was brought down and was shot. police are saying that both are in custody and one was injured. presumably that would be the one that was shot as we've seen on social media. it does raise the question how these two individuals from hebron, which is in the palestinian west b

and now to conor powell with an update.ood to see you. >> martha, we have seen isis has been launching a string of attacks around baghdad drawing the security force away from fallujah and the operation. 15 people were killed over the weekend and 40 injuredded in different attacks around baghdad. iraqi commanders are not deterred but are making progress in fallujah. they are going slow out of concern for civilian casualties. they trillion the son part of fallujah giving them a base of operation to push into the city center. they expect to do that in the coming days. isis is putting up fierce resistance. there are booby traps and car bombs and mines all over the city. it has slowed the iraqi operation. isis is cut off. they are surrounded in fallujah. there is no hurry to push in quickly. isis is cut off from any support. the iraqi troops and the coalition with the airstrikes have the upper hand. they are taking their time. they are pushing in slowly. it is an estimated 50,000 or so civilians that are in fallujah. that is the
