coming out with soundbites, a bit like the conservatives did stop the boats without any real plan, because i think it was pretty obvious to most of us that the rwandan wasn't really going to work. there was so much pushback against it. and so much pushback against it. and so keir starmer's pledge, of course, was to stop the gangs and again, that smashed the gangs, smashed the gangs quite right. smashed the gangs. and of course, that was clearly not going to work either because there are so many of them. i think when i last did some research into this, there were at least 700 gangs that were operating, and you can't. it would be like whack a mole, you know, trying to get rid of one. and then another one had just had just pop up and take over. so this issue rumbles on. we've seen under the new labour government, the highest numbers coming in on small boats per day. so of course they're going to need somebody somewhere to put them if they don't send them back or stop them coming. and so now, once again, i think there must have been many, many people very relieved around the country that their local town , their that their local town, their main hotel
