live for now from conshohocken monique braxton, nbc 10 news. >> thanks monique. from our jersey shore bureau investigators there are looking into a fire that gutted a popular boardwalk shop just one week before the unofficial start of summer. flames ripped through the seventh street surf shop in ocean city last night. we first told you about this fire through a push alert on our nbc 10 news app. the blaze broke out around 8:00. crews had it out in less than an hour. one worker managed to escape safely. >> i've been a part of this place for 10 or 11 years now and worked here every summer so it's tough to see. >> the hard part with boardwalk businesses right now, they're all loading up for the holiday weekend, so there's a lot of merchandise in there that's obvious destroyed at this point, but also fuels the fire. >> firefighters say neighboring businesses sustained some smoke damage. employees tell us that the surf shop will reopen. >>> amtrak crews are coming off another night of work to restore service between philadelphia and new york by tuesday, which would be

it is still billowing over communities in conshohocken and plymouth. we now know the blaze has gutted both the philadelphia floor store and syntax company. one of the owners has updated us on the name of the companies since we last spoke to you, just after 7:30. but the buildings were unoccupied at the time so there were no injuries inside. we're learning also that heavy equipment is on the way to take the building down. the chief also said some flooring products inside do contain petroleum and are extremely flammable. right now, they're working with the department of environmental protection regarding the runoff from the water that has been used to fight the blaze. your thoughts about it? your concerns living so close? >> when you get into that flooring stuff over there for floors and things it's kind of dangerous material. >> reporter: was the chief told us right now they don't foresee any danger. there was a tweet sent out earlier by conche on the community facebook page, telling folks to stay inside. the chief has not confirmed that for us but we c

new this morning firefighters are still trying to get a handle on a three alarm fire in conshohocken. that fire broke out inside a warehouse on cold well lane now two companies reside in this building. cherri gregg from sister station "kyw news radio" live with the details. >> reporter: good morning, nicole, just spoke to the fire chief, michael burton, who briefed reporters. told us that the battle to put out this fire is far from over. as you can see behind me, there are multiple firefighters, they said, over 100 firefighters work on this blaze. twenty-eight fire vehicles work to put the fire out. and they are still working as we speak. they say when they arrived just before 4:00 a.m. the fire had already cut through the roof. and that there had been multiple explosions. soon after that, the rolf itself collapsed. as you can see, it is merely a shell left. this building houses the philadelphia floor store. and another business, as well. areas surrounding here, residential homes nearby. i understand that both the electricity and the gas to those homes had been shut off to help firefi

the delays on the schuylkill expressway starting to build as you work your way toward conshohocken. i just check with the airport new york, laguardia socked in with fog delays of within hour and 40 minutes. when they get a delay in new york usually 15 minutes later we start to see that delay here in philadelphia fog delays, the call here, if you are getting a flight out of philly international. be prepared. the here's a live look at 295 not that far from that accident there a few moment ago. we have fog in south jersey, fog on 202. here's a live look at 309 near bethlehem pike. so sue, visibility, poor visibility is staying with us through the beginning of the rush hour. >> it looks like we have a couple more hours to go with this fog because the moisture is just kind of park over us, until we get the cold front that we expect to come through, a little later on in the day we should be just socked in with this fog. even after the fog lifts we will get a little bit of sunshine it will be still be pretty warm and humid. cold front comes through later on this afternoon. that will change
