contra costa county getting hit hard right now. every local county has a positivity rate that's higher than 8%. so we're all getting hit hard. but contra costa county 12% positivity rate. health leaders are telling everyone to stay vigilant. masking indoors in public. if they're symptomatic and considering testing if going to gatherings with individuals or larger gatherings. contra costa county health leaders say the positivity rate may be higher than 12%. most likely higher than 12%. so many of us are testing positive at home and not reporting it to any official agency. the key metric of course, hospitalizations and in cocoa count right now, not rising yet. hospitalizations are being tracked very closely. take a look, three weeks ago the state had more than 1600 covid patients. that's statewide. the following week the number jumped to more than 1900. take a look, last week, more than 2000 people hospitalized across the state. let's narrow our scope further. just focus on san francisco. two months ago, 18 people in the city were in

here in contra costa county. family of alexis, gabe has been searching for her for over 4 months. >> unfortunately, we now have learned that authorities believe that she was murdered and that her alleged killer is also dead on thursday. the oakland police department announced several developments in the search for alexis gabe who disappeared back in january. they say that after a lengthy investigation, her longtime boyfriend marshall curtis jones, has been charged with alexa, says murder. police say jones is the man seen in this surveillance video recorded near where alexis car was found after she disappeared. according to police, jones was staying with a friend in washington state when officers attempted to arrest him on wednesday. >> the federal task force and the detectives from the oakley police departments went to the residents were marshall jones was an attempted to serve the arrest warrant of him for the sole purpose of taking him into custody. marshall jones responded by coming out the front door with a k
