the one that ended up in contra costa county. shawn chitnis tells us how it all unfolded from martinez. >> reporter: the scene is clear, hours after what was a chaotic series of events that ends in this part of contra costa county. the report of an assault, a car chase, as well some suspicious devices all involved, before it ended here. let's show you one of the for scenes where this all began in san francisco around 6:00 p.m. on sunday night. when police were unable to get the suspect into custody . they were responding to a report of an assault . video from the citizen app shows one of the locations in the city and according to supervisor aaron peskin who oversees the city's north beach neighborhood, the suspect set up a pipe bomb on jones street and lit a molotov cocktail at the intersection of eighth and mission while on this chase. that chase continued on the freeway and into the east bay. that is where chp officers take over and they eventually are able to get the suspect into custody in martinez. looking at video from the
