a new self-driving shuttle is rolling out in contra costa county. the contra costa transportation authority launched the new service today. it is at a colorful, autonomous minivan shuttle called presto, and it's free. and it's now up and running in martinez. the shuttle is a self-driving toyota sienna with pre-mapped destinations to places like the hospital, schools, pharmacies and grocery stores around the city. this is all about providing independence, right? and freedom to people that don't have access to public transportation. and, you know, some people, you know, they can't walk to a bus, right? they can't get to where they need to go and to where you might have available public transportation services. so that's why we're really filling this gap to people that need truly need that curb to curb, you know, and service and point to point service that will be handy. riders will be able to hail a ride on presto by using an app. it's only available in the evenings right now, monday through friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. we have a lot more news coming
