slowing is starting to develop in the contra costa county area. this crash on 242 i just learned a few more details. there are some complications. in east bay, jim taking part tomorrow in a first ever nationwide fundraiser to honor a leader in fitness who lost his 18 year battle with als. augie nieto died last year. he'll be remembered as a fitness leader who brought life cycle and life fitness equipment into gyms and homes around the world. als is a degenerative condition also known as lou gehrig's disease. it has no cure. but tomorrow lifetime quest in walnut creek will take part in augie's quest to cure als. it's a national effort to raise money for research through a 90 minute workout. organizers say the workout time is symbolic because someone in the u.s. is diagnosed with als every 90 minutes. i think the one thing that really stood out to me was that there's no they don't know why. they don't know why people get it. they don't know how to. there isn't a cure for it yet. so it's essentially, it's fatal, like 100% when you are diagnosed. well
