[ inaudible question ] >> thus far in the operation we have not found a piece of physical evidence that tells us conclusively that phillip garrido is involved in the michaela garecht abduction. i'll turn it over for the answer to that question. >> the same answer would be the same for the other abduction. there are a couple of pieces of evidence we want to look closer at and examine, but nothing with certainty that leads us to believe there's a definite link between the garridos and eileen's disappearance. contra costa county building inspectors deemed this building unsafe, coming as they work on the back yard, using dogs to explore the property next door. they're looking for evidence possibly linking garrido, sex offender, to unsolved murders of several prostitutes. >> he had no parole violations during that period of time. >> reporter: philip and nancy garrido are held without bail, charged with kidnapping jaycee dugard for years. she was hid for 18 years in a series of tents and sheds. the customers of the printing business there say they knew jaycee dugard as alissa. >> he said it was his daughter, he was teaching her business. >> reporter: people say she designed business cards. >> we have known jaycee dugard for over 10 years. they were living just a regular life. >> reporter: the same customers didn't suspect what the police do. that garrido is the father of the two daughters who were also being held captive. >> it appeared normal, i don't know what happened behind closed doors. >> reporter: still others what saw him said he acted strangely. >> my impression was i wouldn't allow

you would -- to determine with certainty if it is a human bone, you would have to contact the contra costa countyff's office. but certainly the fact that a possibly human bone was located on that property is part of the reason that we are searching here today. and, yes, it does include the residence next door. however, the residence of that property is in no way a suspect of our investigation, it is our understanding that the garridos for a time were caretakers of that property. the contra costa county fire department sprayed about 3,600 gal, of water on the cleared property. this is to keep the soil dust-free and moist and cool for the dogs, but i understand it also helps greatly in them locating scents. and one of the handlers likened it to a cup of soup, where if you open it, you can't smell very well when it's dry. but when you add water to it, it releases the scent, and that's thousand works for the dogs. we also had one of the dog handlers go up in the helicopter to take aerial photographs to plan for this morning's search. also yesterday, an excavation specialist from the alameda county sheriff office coroner's bureau came out to check out the property to plan nowhere this afternoon's digging. this morning about 5:00 a.m., we had six canine search teams. they were from the alameda county sheriff's office search and rescue team, and those were cadaver dogs. from the santa clara's office, canine search team, two different dogs here. human remains detection dogs and historical human remains detection dogs. the handalers were very appreciative of changi
