this fire is threatening homes and forced evacuations in contra costa county. the other has burned structures sonoma county. we have live team coverage from both fires as crews battle hot weather conditions to put out the flames. the fire in contra costa county spread to at least 400 acres. right now it's burning near clayton in mt. diablo state park. lillian kim has a look. >> there's a thick layer of smoke over mt. diablo. all the activities on the other side of th rim. flames have moved south and that'shere there is an evacuati order. this started at 1:00 p.m. on the northeast side of the mountain, three miles south of downtown clayton. no reports of injuries but so far 400 acres have bned and 250 firefighters ve been called to work this fire. an immedia evacuation has been ordered for oak hill lane at curry canyon road. residents ve been told toll evacuate to diablo view school in clayton. residents on morgan territory road have not been told to leave their homes. the flames are moving a. from that area. but nobody is takingnything for grants. >> it's lky, t

in contra costa county, philippe djegal, kron four news.recautionary health warning for parents. johnson and johnson is voluntarily recalling 200- thousand bottles of motrin- infant drops formula. they say the bottles may contain tiny specks of plastic. the particles were found in a different product during the manufacturing process. and it is not known if the recalled bottles actually contain the plastic particles. the company is asking retailers to take the product off store shelves. and says, consumers should stop using the product. and another recall, a bay area company is recalling more than 15- hundred pounds of fresh and frozen calzones. this comes after the san leandro based food company didn't say the product contained egg in the food label. the calzones are made with an egg wash glaze and egg is a known allergen. the affected products are enzo's italian combo and enzo's chicken fajita calzones produced between july 16th and september 4th. they were shipped to retail stores and possibly to restaurants here in the bay area. bima let

fire crews in contra costa county quickly jumped on a grass fire in lafayette yesterday afternoon. cal fire september a full response fearing -- sent a full response fearing the fire would spread uphill. low humidity and high wind gusts are enough to keep the red flag warning up. >>> frustrated people at the mobile home park could have their gas services restored today. pg&e shut off gas to the mobile home park. after several leaks were found. they haven't been able to use their stoves ever since then. one family told us they understand the safety concerns, butth -- but question the response of both pg&e and other response teams. >> i just hoped they would try to get the best to get the gas up and running sooner. >> pg&e was able to reconnect the gas yesterday. but the mobile home park owns the equipment and reresponsible for the repairs. all of the gas meters still need to be reassembled by management. that could happen sometime this afternoon. >>> face to face negotiations are expected to resume today in the bart labor dispute. yesterday the bart board of directors met to figure

diablo fire burning in contra costa county. firefighters are working 24 hour shifts to watch the fire burning so close to clayton. >> abc7 news reporter matt keller joins from the command center in dublin. matt? >> i got the latest numbers. right now it is 45 percent contained up from 20 percent containment yesterday. the fire acreage dropped because of better mapping. now it is at 3,243 acres. it was 100 structures threatened yesterday and 75 this morning. a trouble spot was near morgan territory with winds picking up and flames raised to several barns and trailers. everything has calmed down and no homes are damaged. people evacuating large animals may take them to walnut creek. the red cross shelter is still open at clayton community library on clayton road and it is expected to be open for the next couple of days but as you heard containment is up to 45 percent and acreage is down to 3,243 acres and the homes threatened is down from 100 to 75 homes threatened. >> some were allowed to return home temporarily to collect perso

if you are driving in contra costa county, you see highway 4.affic as you try to make your way over the hill, we haven't had that many crashes here. in fact, highway 4 has been quiet crashwise but not trafficwise. moving a long and taking a look at the bay bridge toll plaza, the traffic here is moving along okay. getting into san francisco with no major problems. i do want to mention the south bay traffic is busy. we're also getting word of a crash with no injuries, southbound 101 at embarcadero. want to show you that 880 southbound is very slow. we had the earlier accident southbound 880 at "a" street. that's gone now. traffic is still backed up into san leandro. we've been reminding you about this a lot of howard street is closed between third and fourth or oracle open world. you just saw the live picture. just want to let you know that traffic is going to be very, very slow south of market because of that closure. back to the desk. >> thank you. >>> people who frequent a park in santa clara worry it will be destroyed because of a parking prob
