well. >> well, beginning today out in contra, costa county. all employees there for the county must be vaccinated against covid-19 or risk losing their jobs. memo was sent out by the board of supervisors back in august telling county employees if they had until today to provide proof of vaccination. employees can request a medical or religious exemption. if an employee is granted an exemption. then they have to be tested for covid at least once a week and they have to wear a mask while working indoors. contra costa county is the most recent bay area county now to require all employees to be vaccinated or face losing their job last week. you may remember a similar mandate went into place in santa clara county. >> it's 5. contra costa county supervisors say misinformation about covid-19 is a public health crisis. contra costa county supervisors unanimously passed a resolution this afternoon. to declare misinformation about the coronavirus, a public health emergency. the resolution itself doesn't have an enforcement component, but supervisors say they want to get the word out. the spread of misinformation is having a real impact. nearly all covid deaths right now in the united states. are among people who are unvaccinated. and if every eligible person was vaccinated. we would have practically no deaths. about a dozen people called into that board meeting to condemn the resolution, saying they're free expression was being violated. on the company that runs the coachella stagecoach music festival has changed its vaccine mandate. golden voice announced today that attendees can now show proof of vaccination or a negative covid test taken within 72 hours of the event. before only proof of vaccination was allowed. the company says a change of plans came after they saw low transmission data at their fe
