i just got off the phone with ceo tim cook.e told me "we are happy to give guidance of $49 billion to $52 billion. we really like what we see for the beginning of the back-to-school season." guidance is important because it signals strong sales of new iphones later released this year, and while apple doesn't talk about future products, it signals that more people are waiting in the hopes of a new iphone. he said it feels like the rumors are much louder and much more frequent than in the past, so we do believe it has created a pause slightly larger than previously. joining me here in the studio is our principal analyst. julie apple shares are up. , why? >> there's a lot to look forward to here. on one hand, the smart phone market will grow about 50% over the next five years. there's a lot of upside. but there's a lot more to come. there's a lot more to come with the smartphone living in a bigger ecosystem. a lot of upside to come with things like virtual assistants and voice assistants. like is all the services, apple pay or the

host: we are joined by david wasserman, the house editor at cook political report. he is here to talk about his analysis that congressional democrats face exceptional demographic, historic and political challenges going into the 2018 midterm elections. thank you for joining us. guest: thank you for having me back. host: we have had many midterm elections, what makes 2018 different than all of the other years? wave: 2018 could be a election. usually, midterm elections are bad for the party in power. democrats pick up seats of the house because republicans overreached on impeachment, but the role has usually been that may terms are opportunities for voters angry with the administration to ventas that anger. seats inns have 24 the house. space in theer senate, but it is easier for democrats to make a play for the house rather than the senate. keep in mind, of the 34 senate seats upper reelection in 2018, 25 are held for democrats. that means more than half of the democratic caucus in the senate is up for election, less than 1/5 of republicans. that is a staggering and

this will season the chicken before it begins to cook. next, i'm gonna whip the eggs to make our egg wash with. this will make the panko stick to the chicken a little easier. after the eggs, we're gonna do it with the panko. straight there. after you mix the seasoning into the flour, we're ready to begin with our chicken. you wanna take the chicken and dredge it lightly into the flour. dredging just means to put down and then to cover lightly. shake off the excess and go straight into the egg. the egg will act as a glue for the panko. after you cover the chicken with the panko, place it straight on a baking rack, just like that. i'll go ahead and finish the rest. these were my favorite snacks as a kid. i used to come home every day after school, and my mom would make 'em for me. thankfully, she gave me her recipe. we're just gonna throw these into the oven now at 375 degrees. you wanna cook them for 15 minutes or until they're golden brown. when handling raw chicken, you wanna wash your hands before you cook it, and of course after. you a
