bertha coombs for us. simon baker in the context of health care stocks overall, you've been more bullish on the market than perhaps some of the other folks that have come through the set in recent weeks. do you think, as one of the best performing sectors of the year, there will be a rotation away from a more defensive-minded sector into some more risky or more cyclical areas of the market? >> yeah. i think we've talked about that on the desk, and i think we all agree, hedge fund's up 6%. i think you've still got to stick with the names. i agree with stephanie like tenet health care. i think ultimately people can get insured by the website, those companies are going to benefit and i think the expectations have come down so low, they'll be better next year so i'd stick with those names. >> i would say stick with the hmos. stephanie points out that expectations have been lowered after he werin earnings. guidance and pricing real conservative. who's best positioned and understands what's going to happen here

let's turn to bertha coombs. what do these fixes mean? >> because it's voluntary, it's something they need to look at. the insurers turned a page on the plans. they haven't priced what they would be for 2014. effectively, they now have a 30-day window they would have to try to do this because people who want the plans expiring on december 31st to be able to renew them for january 1st, they have to put premiums in and pay them by the 15th of december. so here are the things they would need to do in the next 30 days, they need to figure out what the price is on those plans. calculate all that for 2014. they would need to get approval from state insurance and the state insurance commissioners. washington state weighing in saying they don't want to do this, and they need to be able to get the plans out to the customers and collect their premiums, all in the next 30 days. >> sounds like you're say thing is not feasible. will they fight back or will they do what the white house wants them to do? >> it's like when you play your mom off your dad.

bertha coombs joins us with details. bertha? >> so the obama administration has given itself 26 days to get the federal website fixed and running smoothly. and in the meantime, they say they are now going to be taking healthcare.gov down between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. it started over the weekend. they'll be doing it now on a daily basis. while it will be another week before we get official enrollment data from the obama administration, some interesting indicators from a commonwealth fund survey. fewer than 1 in 5 merndz who could be eligible under obama care said they visited healthcare.gov. while 60% of those polled know about the online marketplaces, only slightly more than half are actually aware of the availability of subsidies. of those who visited the exchanges, 21% said they had actually enrolled. among early shoppers 1 in 5 is younger than 30. while more than half are between 30 and 49. 73% describe themselves as being in good or excellent health. while 1 in 4 say they're in fair to poor health. now, tomorrow marilyn tavenner
