rookie running back anthony allen joins me at hightopps in timonium for the coors light silver spotlightthe ball...and we announce the winner in our high school game of the week contest...that's all coming up at 11-30 on the late edition... a... puppy... in south alabama.../ .causes... quite a scare... / when... he bites off... a bit more.../ than he can chew. 3 this is blue... a 12-week old pit bull.... who somehow got hold of a metal flag post.it got caught in his mouth and his natural gag reflex caused him to swallow it. blue's owners rushed him to vet.... where they used bolt cutters to cut off part of the post.blue then underwent surgery to remove the rest from deep in his stomach. i've been practicing veternarian medicine for thirty years. i've seen dogs swallow bed linens, i've seen them swallow cuff-links and watches and all kind of things but i've never seen a dog swallow something as long . 3 the vet says blue survived... because the cross pole..stopped him from swallowing the post completely. the puppy still needs his rest... but as you can see... he's back to feeling better.
