the greater farallones cordell bank and monterey bay national marine sanctuaries right off of our coast here in the bay area. there's other marine sanctuaries along the coast of california and southern california and then up in washington and across the pacific. all of these areas are a first level of protection for the sea floor and in addition, more areas that really embrace the muddier zones of the ocean. but we don't really have those documented yet. so understanding where those are and then what protections we can put on those would be the next steps building off of what we've found and what other researchers can add to this research. yeah. >> so is part of the next step here to try to figure out where there are other large carbon reservoirs, either in the pacific or beyond? what what what are you hoping to learn here moving forward? >> absolutely. the more that we can document what the sea floor looks like in terms of its its composition, and if it's muddy, if it's sandy, if it's rocky reef, we can change what or we add or we adjust what what our protections are already in place.
