here to discuss the american federation of children's national director of research, corey deangelisnks for having me for. kennedy: let's talk about this for us not just conservative and libertarian parents on but school choice for a long time demanding data on masking for kids. it is now left leaning parents in big cities like san francisco, what you make of this? >> that is absolute trooper if you look at support for school choice over the past year it has been jumping a month left-leaning circles more than anybody else. if you look at the real clear opinion polling at the ten percentage point or 11 and democrats for the concept of school choice what i call funding students as opposed to systems. a lot of families, left and right leg independence as well want to return to normalcy. the teachers know that they profit from the state of disorder because they can use this chaos as leverage for why they need more resources extorted from a taxpayer. it's hard for them to argue more tax paler pale out bunch of bailouts they love the back-and-forth state of disorder. i think the only way w

corey deangelis is director of research at the american federation for children, the group behind thatrats saying i want my kid to go to a school that has masks, conservative parents saying i don't want my kids to wear that obedience mask, but they're coming together on the solution which is to attach the money to the child and not the system. explain. >> yeah, exactly. i mean, this past year has really exposed the problems with the one-size-fits-all government school system, and families are starting to figure out there isn't any good reason to fund failing institutions when you can fund students directly instead. there's another recent poll actually finding an 11 percentage point jump in support for school choice or what i would call funding students, not systems, over the past year with 70% of democrats now supporting educational freedom. and, look, really all of these fights that we've seen over the past year whether it comes to school reopenings, the mask debate or critical race theory in the classroom, these are all just symptoms of the larger problem which is the one-size one-si
