what's cory booker's paths to victory given where you are right now? polling, combined polling of 2.5%. you said you've blown past what is needed for the next debate in terms of money. what's your path to victory as you see it? >> well, we know that iowa is going to be the starting line. and we think that just like obama when he showed his strength there -- remember, he was polling, 15, 20 points behind hillary clinton on national polls. nobody who's ever been polling ahead has gone on to win the presidency from the parties. we'll go the pathway of carter, clinton, both of whom in the single digits, obama, 2 or so points behind -- 2 0 or so suspends went. by the time we get to the primary states and caucus states we are going win in south carolina. and i'll tell you this, there is no pathway to the presidency without being able to revive that obama coalition. and that includes the urgency of minority votes. remember, there's flow pathway to the presidency. we can't beat donald trump if we see the same thing we saw in 2016 which is a big lag or fall of

i think the distinction -- cory booker is a great senator.would do great if he was our nominee, same with amy klobuchar, same with pete buttigieg. i'll -- i'm eat not going to name all 18. i'll deal with it on twitter later. the difference s i think there's a lot of comparisons made to howard dean in 2003 where people thought he was this juggernaut and iowa upended the race and exposed him for not being the solid front-runner. there's a few differences here, in that you have four very solid front-runners. you have obviously vice president biden, elizabeth warren, mayor buttigieg and elizabeth warren. the odds that one of them would stumble and none of the other three pick it up seem very far fetched to me. the other thing to remember in 200 p is that howard dean lost iowa and it didn't become a free-for-all. john kerry won and really never looked back after that. >> i want to get you to weigh in on what the front-runner, former vice president joe biden said when asked about a possible running mate and saying he would consider a republican. le

right at the beginning he was asked about comments that cory booker made about the increasing lack ofow in the top tier of the democratic race and bloomberg sort of brushed it off and said well he supported me once, he sat on my board and well-spoken and those are buzzwords for black and latino candidates, minorities all across the country who heard too much of that, but looking for an apologize, the more effective answer was to the question the fact he is entering this question he is bankrolling and an argument he made for mayor i am paying for this on my own. i won't accept a salary, therefore, i can't be bought. everyone sells doing the same thing but they are asking other people for money, and they will owe somebody a favor at some point with he you don't have that. you noels who made that argument? donald trump and guess what? it worked and who is he trying . the people that will go back and forth between the parties who went with donald trump. he is loading 60 million on tv and radio so far, 5 million across digital plat forms if you are an american with a tv or a phone you have
