cornell barnard is live at the scene of the crash. >> reporter: the chp says five teenagers were in that car about 4:00 this morning when that crash happened. two of them tragically were killed. two badly injured. and the driver was also injured as well. remnants of the crash can still be seen here. chp says the driver was under the influence when she careened off the 680 flyover, the car plunging to the ground below. >> there's just loss all aroundh now. >> friends and family members hugged keeping vigil outside of the medical center for two 18-year-old women badly injured in a terrible car crash early sunday morning. the crash killed two 18-year-old men who were also riding in the car. >> everyone right now just needs to be held up in prayer, we're asking everyone to send up good thoughts. i can't begin to imagine the pain that those families are experiencing right now. >> reporter: car plunged off this connector ramp from -- to 680. >> my understanding is this was maya's core group of friends. >> the chp says she suffered major injuries in the crash and is now facing serious charges.

. >> cornell barnard is live at oakland's mcarthur bart station with more on that. cornell? >> reporter: yeah, kristen and dan, just hours after her emotional funeral, a peaceful prayer rally is expected to take place here outside the mcarthur bart station to honor and remember nia wilson. this, of course, is the spot where so many vigils have taken place over the last few days and weeks. a memorial continues to grow here in her honor. as you know, the 18-year-old was killed on july 22nd in an unprovoked attack on a bart platform as she left the bart train. her sister was also stabbed. she survived. 27-year-old john cowell was charged with the crime. police have not determined a motive in the case. but many believe it to be racially motivated. we are seeing a few people who attended today's funeral starting to gather here outside of the macarthur bart station where this memorial is really vry -- just astounding. in fact, the memorial continues to grow on -- outside another pillar just outside the station here. the memorial -- the vigil, actually, is supposed to begin at 5:00
