we have brian kelly on one side and steve cortez on the other. i'll give you the first word.t least today's performance of what's happening in the chinese stock market would line up with your way of thinking. >> this china story seems to be picking up steam. i should write a book about this. look, china was down 3% overnight. chinese stock market is 7% off of its march highs. i think it's because it's responding very properly to terrible data out of china lately particularly when it pertains to exports. the most recent data point in that sphere we got is port of l.a. and long beach. inbound shipments from china year over year are now off 10% versus 2007. they are off 20%. china simply needs to export. the world is too weak particularly europe for them to export any further and their massive over capacity because of their fixed asset investments means chinese asset prices have to go dramatically lower. >> you know, i think the death of china has been dramatically overstated here. we're looking at an economy that even a hard landing would be 5% gdp growth and what's happening i
